Movie Maniacs 6 series from McFarlane, this 8-inch Predator 2 figure is detailed right down to its scaly feet. It’s covered in bits of coppery plastic armor and articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist (twice), legs, knees (twice again so its legs can both kick and swivel), and ankles. Unlike the Hunter version of this figure–which is basically the same toy–this Predator comes with a mask that fits snugly over its head. Pull the mask off to reveal a punched-in face that would benefit from some serious dental work. The figure’s individual fingers line up with the little holes in the included throwing disk, and to show that even bogeymen can take a fall, this poor guy is wounded. Bright neon yellow and green specks are splattered over its belly and on part of one arm that can be detached at the middle. Delicate dreadlocks hang over the back of the head, underscoring the idea that overall this figure is meant more for display than play, and won’t survive a whole lot of abuse. This bloody predator would be a great gift for any predator fan.
